A brighter way to learn

Year 6

Fractions

By Year 6, children pull together everything they have learned about fractions. They simplify fractions to their lowest terms, and compare and order any fractions, not just ones with related denominators, using a common denominator to do it.

Practise Fractions

Have a guess, even if you're not sure. Get one wrong and we'll show you why, so every miss is a chance to learn.

Timed practice

The same practice, just with a gentle clock. Pick a length and see how many you can answer.

They add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers with different denominators, multiply pairs of proper fractions, divide a proper fraction by a whole number, and find a fraction of a quantity. There are also multi-step problems that ask them to put two or three of these skills together.

Every quiz is multiple choice with instant feedback, and a gentle hint appears whenever an answer needs a nudge. It is free, there is no account to set up, and it works in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
